Are they twins?

This is a pic of my nephew!!! I think he is so adorable. Of course I'm not the one who has to take care of him either. But anyway, I love this pic of him. He reminds me of Chris Farley. What do ya think? I also had to throw in my favorite SNL of Chris Farley while I was at it. I seriously laugh every time I watch it.

This SNL makes me laugh so hard!!!

I've put myself in therapy

I bought this quilt packet with some money I earned sewing purses for my wonderful Auntie...bless her heart. I saw the fabrics and fell in love. I haven't sewn a quilt in a couple of years. I thought I was about do for a new quilt.

Her name is baby aardvark, that's the official name of the pattern. It's going to be twin sized, just big enough for me to wrap myself up on the couch. I sew on it when I need a little pick me up. With Branden traveling a lot this month, I have decided to put myself into serious "therapy". Oh, how I LOVE "therapy" Sometimes I think it's crazy how happy fabric makes me. I guess I inherited that trait from my wonderful mother. I couldn't think of a better thing to inherit, can you? By the way I also included a pic of "Frenchy" my newest hang bag. She's an Amy Butler Pattern like "Birdie". I don't know if Frenchy can live up to Birdie...She's my girl!! Only time will tell. Love ya'll long time.

First day of School

The girls started school today. I can't believe that I have Fifth grader and a second grader. I remember when I started fifth grade. I thought I was so grown up with my cool clothes and training bra!!!(too funny) I took several pictures of the girls to put along with this post. I went to hook up the camera to the computer to download the pictures and...........someone had cut of the cord into tiny little pieces....HUH!!!! Mister Luke.... So I took the cord in hand and set out on a mission to find out what happened.

Angela: Luke did you cut mommies cord with the scissors?
Luke(with head down): Yes
Angela: Luke we only cut paper with scissors.
Luke: I'm sorry....

Well maybe I'm the one who should be sorry. Maybe he's trying to tell his mother something...do ya think? Maybe a little obsessive about the computer, camera and blog. It sure did make me think. So sorry no pictures with the post today.
I love you mister Luke!!!!

Mya's Baptism Day

We had the most wonderful day on Saturday. The baptism was beautiful. Mya looked like an angel. It was so nice to be able to have our families at the baptism. What a blessing that was. The spirit was so strong. I'm sure angels were there watching our sweet Mya be baptized. These are the times that you want in your memory forever.

My cute family

Congratulations Mya....We love you!!!

Out with the Old in with the New

When we moved here 6 months ago, we didn't move our couches. I know it sounds crazy but we gave them to our good friends who needed them more than we did. Besides we really didn't have room to put them in the moving truck. Anyway, we have been borrowing "Big Blues" until we could afford to get some new couches. Just a little history on "Big Blues" they started out as Jen & Brads in the trailer park about 10 years ago, then were passed on to Kami and Adam (friends) then on to Kellie and Dustin and last but not least my Mom and Dad's basement. Then they found their way to my house about 4 months ago. They have served their purpose. But the time has come to say Goodbye "Big Blues".......Here are the new aren't they beautiful........ The best thing is that we got them for a awesome deal. Buy a couch and get a couch for $1.00. I just love a good deal. They may not be top of the line but who cares their not blue!!!!!

Fabric Therapy

I put myself in fabric therapy on Saturday. Do you ever have those crazy weeks when you feel like you've taken care of everyone but yourself? So what better to do than put oneself in fabric therapy. I convinced Joan to go with me. We went up to this new shop in South Jordan called Material Girls. Their shop was so incredible. My head was spinning with ideas. The fabric was gorgeous. We managed to escape with a new apron and purse pattern. We had the best time.
