Betsy Ross, sew sweet

Brooklyn's school just had their annual Wax Museum. She picked Betsy Ross. It was a really fun night for the kids. I got to try my own sewing skills. I made Brook's apron. I didn't have a pattern just the idea. I think it turned out pretty good. The star on the apron came from an old shower curtain that I cut up.... genius!! Brooklyn did such a good job reciting her memorized part for the museum. She is such a sweet young lady. She wanted everything to be perfect. I think she makes the perfect Betsy...don't you. It was fun that Aunts,Uncles, cousins and Grandparents all came to support Brooklyn and Kade. One interesting fact that we learned about Betsy Ross was that the flag flies over her grave 24 hours a day.

How fun! and How fitting! :) I LOVE the apron! What a fun evening. Some days I can't wait for my boys to be in school, like today, but other days, I want them to stay little forever! Life goes on. :)

I love it. Kelty is Susan B. Anthony. I am still wondering how to do that one.
